- What was the best part of your day?
- What was the worst part of your day?
- What are you thankful for?
Our new game over the last year was to share any new Aussie words / expressions that we heard during the day, and then write them down in a little notebook. The only rule was that we had to actually hear the words in conversation to be able to write them down. This became quite a conversation piece among new friends and acquaintances, as we often would have to ask people to repeat what they just said, tell us what it means, and tell us how they spell it. We had a number of people who were very interested in seeing this list at the end of the year. So to those folks, I say, "Here you go!" I've included Canadian translations in italics for the Canadian folks who are interested (and for our family; so that we don't forget how to speak the language).
